Sr. Litigation Attorney (Insurance Defense)

We have an abundant amount of insurance defense work in CA and have been nearly completely remote firm since 2018. We empower our attorneys with technology, tools, and support from both our legal staff and our attorneys.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Litigation Attorney to join our team specializing in Insurance Defense. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in various litigation matters, focusing on insurance claims related to general liability, premises liability, commercial automobile claims, and products liability. This role requires expertise in trial procedures and the ability to work effectively with expert witnesses.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in court and at hearings related to third party insurance defense cases.
Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Manage all aspects of litigation from inception to trial, including case preparation and trial strategy.
Engage with clients to provide legal advice and maintain communication regarding case progress.
Collaborate with expert witnesses and other professionals to build strong cases.
Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes as appropriate.
1950 billable hour requirement

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Barred in CA
8+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance defense.
Strong knowledge of general liability, premises liability, commercial automobile claims, and products liability law.
Excellent trial preparation and courtroom skills.
Proven ability to work effectively with expert witnesses and manage complex cases.
Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
