We are a local full-service CPA firm in Newark area and have been in business for over 40 years. 
 

*** This role is expected to be mostly on site, but we do have some remote flexibility ***

*** We are also hiring for tax managers, and also looking to grow our CAS department***

Position Overview
The Tax Senior is responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base, including C-Corps, S-Corps, and partnerships. This role involves managing client relationships, overseeing tax engagements, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism. This role will report to one of our tax managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and learn to review federal and state tax returns for C-Corps, S-Corps, and partnerships
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to provide strategic advice to clients
  • Assist in tax planning and compliance projects
  • Manage and mentor junior staff members
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Coordinate with audit teams to provide necessary tax information and support during audits
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery

 

What You Need for this Position

At least 5 years in public accounting with an emphasis in taxation 
Ideally already experienced in a Tax Senior position
Experienced with both S Corp, C-Corp, and Partnerships and Individual taxation
Trust/Estate experience is a plus
CPA license 
M.S. in Taxation is preferred
