We are a rapidly-growing and mid-sized public accounting firm based in Burnsville, MN, and we are looking to hire a Tax Manager (or a Tax Senior/Supervisor) for our team. We are hoping this person can join after busy season ends. This is a mostly onsite role with reasonable hours - we do not overwork our employees and strive to provide everyone with solid work/life balance. We plan to pay a base salary of $130-160K in this role and are looking for a generalist.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the preparation and review of corporate and individual tax returns, including 1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120S forms.
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Provide guidance and training to junior tax staff and senior tax professionals.
Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
Assist in tax audits and communicate effectively with tax authorities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role with a focus on tax.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
