Founded in 2012 and headquartered an hour south of Santa Barbara, we are developing infrared systems for imaging and laser detection for commercial, industrial, and defense industries in our 35,000 square foot facility!

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead ROIC Design Engineer with expertise in imaging and sensor technology, specifically in Read-Out Integrated Circuit design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving innovative design solutions, ensuring high-performance and quality in semiconductor products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ROICs for imaging and sensor applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design specifications and requirements
  • Conduct simulations and analyses to verify design performance
  • Support the integration of IC designs into larger systems
  • Perform design reviews and mentor junior engineers in best practices
  • Develop test strategies and methodologies to validate design functionality
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design issues during the product lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IC design with a focus on imaging and sensor technologies
  • Proficiency in designing ROICs and familiarity with relevant industry standards
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor physics and VLSI design principles
  • Experience with circuit design, CMOS technology, and analog/digital design
  • Knowledge of verification methodologies and tools, including RTL design and test engineering
  • Familiarity with layout design tools and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
