Job Title: Senior Plumbing Design Engineer
Location: Bethesda, MD. 
Salary: $120k - 200k.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in plumbing engineering design, with a focus on mission-critical facilities. Proficiency in plumbing design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).

Position Overview
The Senior Plumbing Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of plumbing systems for various construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of plumbing engineering principles, as well as the ability to lead projects and collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure that all systems meet the highest standards of performance and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mentor team of 8-10 more junior design engineers.
  • Design and develop plumbing systems for mission-critical facilities and complex structures.
  • Create detailed schematics, layouts, and specifications for plumbing systems.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Ensure that all plumbing designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks for the creation and review of design documents.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to achieve project goals.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to resolve any design-related issues efficiently.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide training on plumbing engineering best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Plumbing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing design engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing engineering design principles and relevant codes and regulations.
  • Experience with mission-critical facilities and complex structures is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work within a team and with clients.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • LEED Accreditation is a desirable qualification.
