Senior Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our mechanical design initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles and will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions to meet our product needs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform HVAC, HVAC controls, chillers, boiler, water distribution, ductwork, plumbing, and fire protection systems design for clients primarily focused in the Northeast.
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate and optimize designs.
Oversee prototyping and testing of mechanical solutions to ensure compliance with specifications.
Perform thermal analysis to ensure efficient thermal management in product design.
Evaluate manufacturing processes and materials for new product development.
Utilize engineering analysis techniques to solve complex mechanical problems.
Contribute to product development strategies and roadmaps.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution.
10 plus years of Mechanical Engineering experience, especially with air handling and distribution systems, ventilation/exhaust, hydronic, HVAC, building controls, and process piping systems.
Proficient with the use AutoCAD and Revit.
Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques.
Experience with prototyping and product testing.
Understanding of thermal analysis and manufacturing processes.
PE license is highly desired but not required.
