REMOTE Tax Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced REMOTE Tax Manager to oversee our tax planning and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations while providing strategic tax advice to clients and stakeholders. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while playing a critical role in our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients to minimize tax liabilities.
- Review and ensure compliance with tax regulations and laws for various entities, including C-Corp, S-Corp, and Partnerships.
- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff and provide training as needed.
- Conduct research on tax issues and prepare technical analyses and memorandums.
- Assist in the development of tax policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and manage tax audits.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with various tax forms, particularly 1040, C-Corp, S-Corp, and Partnerships.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote work environment.
