Project Engineer

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, with a focus on traffic, highway, and bridge systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, specifications, and plans for traffic, highway, and bridge projects.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project milestones.
  • Communicate project updates and technical information to clients and team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and presentations for project proposals and progress.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and contractors to ensure project alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, or ability to obtain in the near future.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering, specifically in traffic, highway, or bridge projects.
  • Ability to work and report out of an office based in Columbia MD.
