Title: Flexible Packaging Product Manager - Food Packaging

Location: Chicago, Illinois

(Hybrid)

Salary: $100,000 - $128,000 Base + 10% - 20% Bonus + Travel Reimbursement

With roughly 50% Travel, This position will Serve the North Eastern Market. (Chicago, Indianapolis, St. Luis, NJ, Philly areas)

We're targeting to hire a Product Manager with expertise in food packaging / flexible materials.

Must have experience in Flexible packaging, roll stock film, pre-made pouches, overwrap, food trays etc..

What You Will Be Doing

Generate new Flexible Packaging business and further develop existing accounts.
Develop sales plans to grow sales and profitability within accounts.
Serve Chicago and the surrounding areas. (Chicago, Indianapolis, St. Louis, NJ, Philly)
Generate leads by networking, cold calling and market research.
Prepare customized quotes and negotiate pricing.
Track market trends and share competitive insights.
Manage orders to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

What You Need for this Position

Bachelor's Degree in packaging, business or related experience.
2+ Years of Flexible Packaging experience. (Food packaging a Plus)
Knowledge of Food Packaging, roll stock film, premade pouches, overwrap, food trays, etc.
Strong knowledge of flexible packaging, structures and the food market.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Strong communication skills. (written, verbal, in-person, and remote)
Demonstrated competencies in commercial acumen, contracting, process design, problem-solving, supplier relationship management, negotiations, leadership and teamwork.
