Import & Export Manager

Location: Union City, CA
Salary Range - 120K-140K + MBO 10%

Position Overview
The Import & Export Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of international trade operations for the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of trade laws, logistics, and supply chain management, with a specific focus on the medical devices industry. The manager will work closely with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and efficiency in the import and export processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement import and export strategies that align with company goals.
Ensure compliance with all relevant trade laws and regulations.
Manage logistics and supply chain processes for international shipping of medical devices.
Negotiate tariffs and contracts with suppliers and logistics providers.
Coordinate with internal departments to streamline import and export operations.
Monitor market trends and changes in regulations affecting international trade.
Provide training and guidance to staff on import and export procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in import and export management, preferably in the medical devices sector.
Strong knowledge of trade laws, tariffs, and logistics.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret shipping and trade data.
Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
Experience with domestic and international 3PL for product and distribution strategies
