Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery
Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment failures
Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational
Repair or replace defective parts and components
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
Operate heavy machinery to test and assess equipment performance
Follow safety protocols and standards during all work activities
Collaborate with other team members to improve maintenance processes and efficiency

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
Proficiency in equipment operation and maintenance
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with welding and fabrication
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in heavy equipment operation
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus
