Fire Protection Designer

Position Overview
The Fire Protection Designer is responsible for creating and developing fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to design effective fire sprinkler and alarm systems for various projects, focusing on protecting lives and property from fire hazards.

Key Responsibilities

Design fire protection systems including fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate fire safety measures into building designs.
Conduct site visits to assess fire hazards and determine system requirements.
Prepare detailed design documents and specifications for fire protection systems.
Ensure all designs comply with local fire codes and regulations, as well as industry standards.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates for fire protection services.
Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of fire protection systems.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in fire protection technology and regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in designing fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers and fire alarms.
NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering is preferred.
Strong understanding of fire safety codes and standards.
Proficient in CAD software and fire protection design software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
