Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery in various construction settings to include utility installation experience including trenching, backfilling, installing different sizes and varieties of pipe (from 6" up to 60"), fittings, and underground concrete structures ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. 

The Equipment Operator will play a crucial role in the successful execution of underground construction projects, including trenching and backfilling, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes safely and efficiently.
• Perform maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
• Assist with underground construction tasks including trenching and backfilling.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair utilities, including pipes and fittings as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during all operations.
• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator with a strong understanding of construction processes.
• Certification or license in operating heavy machinery is preferred.
• Knowledge of underground construction techniques and safety practices is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
