Electrical Design Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing electrical systems in building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems and electrical design principles, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution and lighting design.
Utilize Revit and AutoCAD software to create detailed design drawings and specifications.
Conduct analysis to ensure compliance with NEC codes and standards.
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems within overall building designs.
Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all phases of electrical design are completed on schedule.
Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any issues that arise in the implementation of designs.
Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
Perform calculations and simulations to optimize electrical system performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience required.
Proven experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in the building systems sector.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.
Strong understanding of NEC codes and regulations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
