Aviation Construction Manager

Position Overview
The Aviation Construction Manager will oversee and manage construction projects within the aviation sector, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. This role is critical in coordinating between various stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all phases of aviation construction projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards throughout the construction process.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts with subcontractors and vendors to secure favorable terms.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to align project goals and requirements.
  • Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential issues during the construction process.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including airport authorities and regulatory bodies, to ensure project alignment with aviation requirements.
  • Review and interpret blueprints and engineering plans to ensure project specifications are met.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction management, preferably within the aviation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety compliance.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management in construction projects.
  • Excellent skills in scheduling and project management software.
  • Proficient in contract negotiation and vendor management.
  • Demonstrated team leadership abilities and project coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and site inspection protocols.
  • Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
