Associate - Bankruptcy

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate to join our Bankruptcy team. The successful candidate will assist in a variety of bankruptcy-related matters, providing support to our clients through diligent legal research and analysis, as well as preparing necessary documentation for various bankruptcy proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions and related documents.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on bankruptcy issues and creditor's rights.
  • Draft motions and legal pleadings related to bankruptcy cases.
  • Support senior attorneys in mediation sessions and depositions.
  • Analyze and summarize financial documents and statements in relation to bankruptcy cases.
  • Assist with the development and execution of strategies for commercial and bankruptcy litigation.
  • Help clients understand their rights and obligations under bankruptcy law.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation for timely access and review.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar where the position is located.
  • Experience or coursework in Bankruptcy law is required.
  • Familiarity with Chapter 11, Creditor's Rights, and Fiduciaries is preferred.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
